Supported currencies
iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS currently share support for 29 currencies: CNY, USD, EUR, JPY, KRW, HKD, MOP, THB, TWD, SGD, GBP, AUD, MYR, CAD, VND, CHF, INR, PHP, EGP, MXN, BRL, IDR, NZD, AED, SAR, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN.
All supported currencies are available for accounts, transactions, base currency, and budgets. Online conversion requires available rates. Currency support and cash-image availability are listed separately; missing images remain marked as unavailable in the library.
Give each account its own identity
Create accounts that reflect where you keep and spend money. Name them clearly and select the relevant currency. The account balance is based on recorded movements in that account’s currency; it is not a live bank balance feed.
The Android preview includes a USD everyday account, USD savings, and a EUR travel account. Switch accounts with the arrows or a horizontal swipe, tap to expand the stack, and choose another card to bring it forward. The example asset total uses an illustrative exchange rate to USD. Those different amounts should not simply be added together without an exchange rate and a reporting currency.
Record what actually happened
When adding an expense, check both the transaction currency and selected account. If a purchase and account use different currencies, review the amount that affected the account as well as the original transaction amount.
For a transfer between currencies, use the separate amounts when needed to represent what left one account and what arrived in the other. A quoted exchange rate does not replace the actual amounts on your transaction record.
Understand the base-currency view
Your base currency gives reports a common unit. Available exchange rates can be used to express different currencies in that unit. This reporting conversion is different from rewriting the original account movements.
For example, a EUR expense can remain recorded in EUR while contributing a converted value to a USD report. Updating a reporting rate may affect the converted view; it does not turn the original expense into a different EUR amount.
Read missing-rate states carefully
If a rate is unavailable, a combined total may be incomplete. Check the app’s rate availability and currency settings before treating it as a complete financial picture. Online rate updates depend on a network connection and the rate provider.
Monaura is a recordkeeping app, not a currency exchange service. Use the amounts from the actual transaction when recording money movement. Follow our multi-currency recording guide for a worked example.
